How to make Colocasia fritters step by step with photo

Take about 12 to 13 Colocasia and pressure cook them with only 3 whistles (do not overcook them).Later peel the skin just as you do for potato.

Cut the boiled Colocasia into a round shape or desired shape of your choice.

Take a bowl and add the chopped Colocasia. We need a bowl to mix the ingredients and make them ready to deep fry.

To this add Salt as required and mix them once.

Add rice flour of about 4 tbsp and give a nice mix until the rice flour sticks to the veggie.

In a kadai , heat oil and add Colocasia one by one.You can also add boiled entire Colocasia mixing them with salt and rice flour and deep fry.

Deep fry them in the oil until they are golden brown and crisp.Once they are ready add them to a plate and keep it aside.

In a pan, add oil , chopped onion and fry them until they slightly golden and add chopped green chilli and few curry leaves and saute for 2 mins.

Further add fried Colocasia and give it a nice mix.

Add all the masala powder i.e. Coriander powder, Jeera powder, chilli powder and chat masala and mix well.Saute for 5 mins.

At the end , adding only 1/2 tsp of salt to this as we have already added when we fried them.Saute for another 2 mins and switch of the flame.

Hot and delicious Colocasia Fritters ready to be served with your favorite choice of sauce or chutney.
