Masala Corn | ಮಸಾಲಾ ಕಾರ್ನ್ 

                       Finally sharing my favorite dish ... Masala corn.
Corn is my all time favorite and cannot resist when i see them😁....guess what ???? I seriously stop when ever i see corn around and never miss to buy them 😍

Today i am going to share a simple recipe using corn.We sometime just boil them and add salt lemon or make salad out of it or also deep fry them marinating with corn flour.If you are looking for any of the recipe that i have mentioned then let me know in the comments section.

This is the best tea time snack and taste delicious when served hot sprinkling chat masala or lemon juice.I have used butter to fry them but you can also use oil of your choice.The masala i have used in this is only chilli powder but you can also add other masala powder as per your taste.I will mention all the tips below that you can include in this recipe.

Ingredients 

Corn - 2 ( Boiled)
Butter - 2 tbsp 
Chilli powder - 1 tsp ( As per your taste)
Salt as required

Masala Corn recipe step by step 

  1. Firstly boil corn in a pressure cooker along with salt with 3-4 whistles
  2. In a non stick pan , Add butter and spread across on the pan
  3. Further add boiled corn to the pan and salt as required and turn around them in a medium flame until butter & salt mix well with the corn
  4. Close the lid for 5 mins and allow them to fry nicely 
  5. Keep an eye on your corn and turn them around to fry nicely on all sides
  6. Again close the lid for another 5 - 7 mins to fry them
  7. Once they turn slightly golden in color , add chilli powder as per your taste and fry them nicely on all the sides closing the lid
  8. Finally once they are done , serve them hot sprinkling chat masala or lemon juice
  9. As we like it simple, I haven't added much masala but you can also try peri peri sauce or red chilli sauce or green chilli sauce to make this recipe 
  10. Kindly note all my tips below before you start with this recipe

NOTE :
  • Ensure your corn is boiled well or otherwise while frying it might start popping up
  • Use a non stick pan to avoid your corn sticking to the pan
  • You can also add pepper powder ,chat masala ,Chilli sauce or lemon to this recipe.Add them at last and fry for 2 mins
  • Keep turning around the corn to fry nicely on all the sides
  • Make sure to add chilli powder or any other masala at the end and ensure to close the lid once the masala is added to avoid smoke spreading all over
  • If you do not want to add butter ,then you can also add oil of your choice and prepare this dish
  • Add more butter if required than mentioned
  • Serve them hot sprinkling chat masala or lemon juice

When curd chilli meets left over rice

Curd chillies are prepared from green chilli which are soaked in buttermilk along with salt & turmeric and dried in the sun until chillies absorbs all the buttermilk and dried completely.
