Its spicy Chutney powder !

Chutney powder |ಚಟ್ನಿ ಪುಡಿ 

               Lock-down & bored ???? Well.... All these days everything was easily available but now in this testing times,its safe to stay home and at the same time lets cherish our taste buds and kill this boredom by utilizing and making it productive 😊

So Today sharing with you all a very simple and spicy chutney powder.Simple ingredients and simple to make and yummy to eat.

Chutney powder could be your savior when you dont have anything as side dish bcoz it goes well with rice ,Idli , dosa,akki rotti or chapati.Serve them as below 

Hot rice with ghee 
Idli with oil & chutney powder 
Chapathi & chutney powder
Making Dosa then sprinkle them & roll it 
Sprinkle chutney powder on Akki rotti & serve them

Well we have many brands which offer varieties of chutney powder but this is way different and my personal favorite.I am sure you would love too😊.Try and let me know in the comments below ! 

Recipe details

Chana dal - 1 cup 
Urad dal - 1 cup
Dry chillies - 100 gms
Curry leaves - 1/2 cup
Copra - 1 cup
Hing - 1 tsp
Jaggery - 1 tsp ( powdered)
Tamarind - 1 lemon sized
Oil - 1 tsp
Salt as required

  • Firstly take a pan and add oil 
  • And then add Chana dal & Urad dal and fry it until they turn golden
  • Further to this add Chillies and copra and fry it for 2 mins
  • Later add curry leaves and mix well .Let curry leaves turn crispy and then turn of the flame.Let it cool
  • In a Jar , add cooled mixture , hing , jaggery , tamarind and salt and grind them to fine powder.
  • Chutney powder is ready to be served
NOTE:
  1. Jaggery is optional but i would recommend you to add as it enhances the taste
  2. Avoid adding hot to the mixie jar , let the mixture completely cool down
  3. Store them in tight container and can be used for a month
  4. I have used gunturu & bydagi chilli ( one for taste & another for color),You can use either of them.
  5. You may add garlic powder as per your taste

Dhoodh Pulav |ಧೂದ್ ಪುಲಾವ್ Ever heard off Dhoodh Pulav ???  It was indeed new for me as well. My now husband then Boyfriend told me he is eating Dhoodh Pulav for breakfast.
